The West Norwegian Schools Museum lies to the South of Stavanger City Centre. The museum was established in 1925 as a specialist institution devoted to the history of schools in the Rogaland region. It contains exhibits which illustrate the development of schooling from the eighteenth century to the present day. The school museum contains mock classrooms designed to recreate the learning environments of the nineteen twenties and the nineteen sixties.
