Viksdalen church lies in the countryside to the south east of Førde, in Gaular municipality. The church was built in 1848 of timber, and extensively modified in the later nineteenth century. It stands on the site of a medieval church, and was rebuilt from a seventeenth century structure. The altarpiece was made in 1620. The interior of the church is light and pleasant and contains pews painted blue. It seats around 300.
