Varaldsøy Church lies on an island in the Hardangerfjord, which once formed a municipality in its own right and is now part of Kvinnherad. The church was built in 1885 of timber. It seats around 300. Its interior contains an altarpiece which is depicts the risen Christ and is a copy after Carl Bloch. Both the pulpit and font date from the foundation of the church. The church possesses silverware from the eighteenth century and a seventeenth century Bible.
