Trondheim Kunstmuseum (Trondheim Art Gallery) lies in the heart of the historic city. It houses a large permanent collection of Norwegian art, which illustrates the various schools and trends of the past couple of centuries. It also hosts a significant exhibition of Danish art, including many works from the CoBrA (Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam) school. There are also works from further afield on display. Temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year. There is a shop.
