Trollveggen is the highest vertical rock face in Europe and is one of the most dramatic sights that Norway has to offer. The name means "Troll Wall". The top of Trollveggen is about 1700 metres above sea level, and the sheer rock face extends more than one kilometre. The best place to admire the dramatic feature is from the viewing point at Horgheimseidet. The face has only been climbed by a handful of the best rock climbers in the world - but if you want to see down from the top, you can approach it from behind by trekking three or four hours from Trollstigen.
