The Tram system in Trondheim is the northernmost in the world. It runs a route about nine kilometres long that links the city centre with a recreational area. The tramway has a museum that contains a collection of historic trams dating back to the early part of the twentieth century. There is an extensive collection of photographs. The museum has a souvenir shop that sells a variety of merchandise including books and postcards.
