Torgalmenningen lies in the very heart of Bergen, between Ole Bulls plass and Strandgate. It is one of the most popular meeting places in Bergen. It was given its name after the Great Fire that ravaged the city in 1702. The square plays hosts to a number of events and concerts during the summer months, and is always a lively place. The Bergen Game Festival takes place here. Nearby you will find the famous Blue Stone and the famous central fish market, also known as Torget.
