Tonsen Church is a striking modern building that lies in the northern suburbs of Oslo. It is about six kilometres from the city centre. It is a low lying structure with a dramatic spire. It was designed by the architect Georg Greve and was consecrated in 1961. Its interior features a fresco depicting the Sermon on the Mount by Kåre Jonsbor. The stained glass is by Bernhard Greve. The crucifix at the altar is the work of Ståle Kyllingstad.
