The Theta Resistance Museum lies in the heart of the little complex of narrow streets that make up the UNESCO heritage site of Bryggen, which once housed the Hanseatic merchants of Bergen. The museum is located in the secret headquarters of the Theta Resistance movement, which operated during the Nazi Occupation between 1940 and 1945. You can see the cramped conditions in which the young volunteers organised the Resistance and maintained contact with the government in exile.
