The Telemark Museum is situated in the heart of Skien, in Brekkeparken. It is housed in the magnificent manor that originally belonged to Niels Aall, who lived here from 1810 to 1830. The museum contains a collection of handicrafts from all over Telemark, recreations of an upper-class home from the early 19th century and of a working-class home from the early 20th century, a collection of old wagons, a church exhibition, a toy exhibition and many temporary displays. Guided tours are available in Norwegian, English and German.
