Teie Manor lies on the banks of the canal that divides Tønsberg, on the Notterøy side. The house was built by Mathias Føyn. It dates from 1803. The protected building is one of the finest constructed of brick in the Empire style in Norway. During World War I, this was the submarine base of the Royal Norwegian Navy. Ruins of a medieval chapel have been found in the grounds. The manor is now the property of the municipality. Guided tours are available by arrangement.
