Sysendammen lies in the municipality of Eidfjord, and is one of the main scenic and architectural attractions of the area. It lies to the east of Eidfjord, just off the main route 7 highway. It is more than a kilometre in length and contains more than three million cubic metres of stone. It is one of the largest rock filled dams in Norway. You will find information boards and parking near the site.
