The Sysendalen ski centre is located about twenty minutes drive to the east of Eidfjord. It lies by one of the gateways to the Hardangervidda mountain plateau and is a great starting point for cross country skiing trips on the plateau. There are around eighty five kilometres of prepared cross country trails here, all starting and finishing at the ski centre. There are also three Alpine slopes, served by a ski lift. There is a heated lounge with cafe.
