Syltefjordstauren lies in the far north of Norway, in Båtsfjord municipality. It is one of the most important colonies of birds in Northern Europe, and thus attracts many nature lovers. It is particularly known for its colony of gannets. The area is a protected nature reserve. If you visit you may also get to see the "hooded seals" which live here. More than two hundred and fifty live in the area.
