These rock carvings lie by the seashore at Strand, which is near Steinsdalen in the Fosen region. They are just off the road to Vingsdalen. The ancient images show whales and fishing nets, reflecting some of the primary concerns of these early inhabitants. the carvings are believed to be several thousand years old. There is also cave used for burial here, which was excavated by archaeologists in 1904.
