Stavanger Museum’s main site is located near the centre of the port town. It houses two key departments of the museum, which has eight urban and rural buildings in all. The first is the cultural history department that deals with the culture of the region and houses an ethnographic collection. The second is the zoological collection, which is comprised of a collection of stuffed birds and animals that have been collected from all over the world. You will also find temporary exhibitions here.
