St. Olav’s Church is found in the southern part of the city centre of Trondheim. It is the Roman Catholic Church that serves the city and the region. Catholicism was outlawed in Norway, following the Reformation, and the number of official adherents to the religion native to the country remains small. However, increasing immigration from Catholic lands has meant that this parish, founded in 1902 and dedicated to the Sacred Heart, is growing steadily.
