St. Jetmund’s Church lies in the municipality of Vanylven, on the west coast of Norway to the south of Ålesund. It is thought to be one of the oldest church foundations in Norway. The church is a simple structure in Romanesque style with a free standing bell tower. It was substantially reconstructed after being largely demolished in the nineteenth century. The building dates back to the twelfth century. The interior contains a lovely medieval altarpiece and a pulpit made in the seventeenth century.
