St. Ansgar’s Church lies in the heart of the southern Norwegian city and serves the Roman Catholic community here. The church is named after the "Apostle to the Danes", Ansgar, credited with bringing the faith to much of Scandinavia. The parish dates back to the nineteenth century, and this building from 1936. It was extended in the nineteen eighties and seats around 120. The church serves several nationalities and language groups, including Vietnamese and Polish.
