Sørmarka lies to the south of Stavanger city centre. It is one of the most popular outdoor recreational areas in the area. It includes Ullandhaug, where you will find the sightseeing tower, and which is more than 130 metres above sea level. The area has approximately 8 kilometres of paths, some of which are lit are night. The area is ideal for walking and jogging. During the winter it is a popular area for downhill sledging and cross country skiing. There is parking at Ullandhaugtårnet tower.
