Balestrand Aquarium is located in the centre of the little fjord Norway village. It contains a large number of tanks exhibiting dozens of species of fish found in the Sognefjord. These include herring, eels, and sharks. There are a variety of educational exhibitions. The aquarium also shows an audiovisual exhibition incorporating colour slides and folk music from the region.
