Sofienberg Park lies to the north east of Oslo city centre. At its heart lies the Sofienberg Church. It is a popular recreational area, especially among younger people. The park contains a playground. There are also table tennis tables you are free to use. The park was originally a cemetery established in the nineteenth century, but was converted to its present use and inaugrated in 1972. A small graveyard lies in the edge of the park.
