Siljustøl lies in beautiful countryside to the south of Bergen. It is about twelve kilometres from the city centre. The building is a museum opened in 1997 in the centenary year of the birth of the composer Harald Sæverud. The building was the home of the celebrated composer, known for his characteristic romantic style, for much of his life. This is the place to come to learn more about his life and work. It also hosts concerts of classical music.
