The Seven Sisters are seven challenging peaks in the municipality of Alastahuag that attract many climbing enthusiasts. The local tourist authorities have marked safe trails to the summits of each. They are Botnkrona, Grytfoten, Skjæringen, Tvillingene (the Twins), Kvasstinden and Breitinden. All seven peaks have summits between 900 and 1100 metres above sea level. At the summit of each there is a book to sign your name. Maps of the trails are available at the tourist information centre in Sandnessjøen, who will give you a certificate if you complete the seven climbs.
