The Sandfjord Town Museum lies in the heart of the modern town, at Pukkestad. It is made up of a collection of farm buildings that date back to the late eighteenth century. The exhibitions explore many aspects of the historical development of the town. A barn houses displays that explore the commerce and everyday life of the rural area round about when primitive trade dominated by barter took place.
