Sandefjord Church lies in the heart of the coastal city. The present church was opened in 1903, following a fire which devastated the previous building on this site, which had been built about thirty years earlier. The altarpiece of the church was created by Dagfin Werenskiold. The church has a fine Marcussen organ, and consequently hosts many organ recitals and concerts. The bell carillon rings out across the town.
