The Ringve Botanical Gardens lie a couple of miles to the north east of Trondheim. They contain several elements. A beautiful garden is laid out in landscaped English style. There is a collection of trees from all over the northern hemisphere. There is an herb garden containing plants used for culinary and medicinal purposes. This is laid out in the style of the Renaissance. You will also find a museum dedicated to musical instruments here. There is a charming cafe.
