The Rege Burial Mounds lie just to the south of Stavanger-Sola airport, in Sola municipality. They date from the Bronze Age, and are thus between two and three thousand years old. This site is of special interest since archaeological excavations here yielded the richest finds of ancient artefacts in Norwegian history. These are now on display in the Archaeological Museum in Stavanger.
