Departing throughout the summer season, the Puffin Safari is a popular attraction for visitors wishing to see the birdlife of the region. The tours are by boat from the village of Bleik, a few miles down the coast from the town of Andenes. The ninety minute trip takes you to Bleiksøya, a famous bird cliff. More than eighty thousand pairs of puffins and several thousand kittiwakes nest here. You can also expect to see cormorants, guillemots and razorbills. The white tailed eagle is also a common sight.
