The famous Porsgrund Porcelain factory is sited right by the river, on the west side, in the Telemark town of Porsgrunn. It produces porcelain that is exported all over the world. Many visitors come to the factory to take the guided tour, which is delivered in English, Norwegian and German. You can follow the process from clay through decoration, firing and finishing. The tour takes about one hour. There is a factory shop and a cafeteria here.
