The Polar Zoo is located at Salangsdalen, in a wilderness area of Troms more than twenty kilometres from any significant settlement. The nearest major town is Narvik. It covers an area of 275 acres and animals are given a great deal of space to roam. While here you can see a wide range of the animals native to the Arctic region, including wolves, lynx, arctic foxes, brown bears, moose and reindeer. There are numerous facilities here to make your day out more enjoyable. These include a playground for children, restaurant, gift shop, cafe and restaurant.
