The Oslo School Museum is located not far from the city centre, a short walk from the Central Station. It is located in the former headmaster’s house of the oldest elementary school in the city. The museum contains two reconstructed classrooms, one from the year 1900 and one from 1950. Both are equipped with a original equipment. Exhibitions explore the development of education in Oslo from 1890 to the present day and deal with themes such as teaching methods and the difference in Boys’ and girls’ education.
