Oslo City Museum lies in the heart of the capital, in Frogner Park. It is housed in the beautiful Frogner Manor, that dates from 1750. The museum houses one of the largest collections of paintings in Norway. The history of Oslo is demonstrated through various themed exhibitions which cover areas such as commerce and culture. Guided tours are conducted in Norwegian and English. The museum hosts lectures. It has a pleasant and popular cafeteria and a gift shop.
