Osebrostrøket lies by the river, on the eastern side, near the centre of Porsgrunn. It is the best preserved part of the old town. Guided walking tours of this part of town are offered by the tourist information centre, who also produce a special brochure about it. The area is full of history and interesting stories, being the centre of trade for many years, and one of the oldest residential areas. There is an art gallery here.
