Oscarborg Fortress Museum lies on the fortified island of Oscarborg, which lies in Drøbak sound, and is accessible by ferry from Oslo and Drøbak during the summer months. It is divided into the fortress museum and the coastal artillery museum. You can also view various fortifications around the island. The museum contains a particularly exciting exhibition about the sinking of the German cruiser Blücher as a result of fire from this fortress on April 9th 1940. Guided tours may be booked outside normal opening hours by arrangement.
