Nøstetangen Museum lies near the town centre of Hokksund. It presents the history of the Nøstetangen glassworks, which were the first established in Norway. They opened on this site in the eighteenth century. You are led through the history of the works, which was known for producing pieces of outstanding quality and beauty, through multimedia presentations, computer displays and collections of original glass objects made here. Many of the pieces are lent from public and private collections. The museum also contains rooms that host temporary art exhibitions during the summer months.
