The Whale Centre lies in an old warehouse on the harbour front at Andenes. The museum contains a wealth of information on whale biology, whaling and scientific research in the field. The enormous sixteen metre long skeleton of a sperm whale which was washed up on a beach nearby, forms one of the key exhibits. A multimedia show takes place several times a day. Guided tours are conducted. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe here.
