The Norwegian National Railway Museum is located near the centre of Hamar. The museum is a top family attraction and houses a collection of historic rolling stock, equipment, photographs and equipment. There are historic engines on display as well as an impressive model railway set-up. The museum park contains a narrow-guage railway that functions, complete with a station and signalman’s cottage. There are many special activities for children. The museum has a restaurant housed in an old railway carriage and a shop that sells souvenirs.
