The new Norwegian National Opera benefits from an excellent location on the banks of Oslo Fjord. It has been designed by the renowned architects Snøhetta. The main auditorium seats more than one thousand three hundred. Two smaller theatres seat four hundred and two hundred respectively. The opera house plays host to world class seasons of opera and ballet. The opera house has a visitor centre that provides information to tourist and can arrange guided tours.
