The Norwegian Museum of Hydropower and Industry lies in Tyssedal, to the north of Odda. It is centred around the impressive Tyssedal power plant, making it a living museum. The history of hydroelectric power generation is explained through up-to-the-minute multimedia shows. There are working demonstrations of traditional industries. A range of special activities are laid on for children. There is a cafe and souvenir shop.
