The Norwegian Glacier Museum is located near Fjærland, in Sogndal municipality. It is an award winning visitor attraction and science centre housed in a striking modern building. It has attracted nearly a million visitors since it was opened in 1991. There are lots of hands on activities and experiments on offer here, and you can learn the answers to such questions as "why is glacier ice blue?" and "why are the fjords green?"
