The Norwegian Forestry Museum (also known as Norsk Skogmuseum) lies just south of the centre of Elverum and enjoys a lovely riverside location. The museum contains a wide range of exhibitions covering forestry, fishing, hunting and nature. A wide range of animals is kept in the hunting and trapping section. The museums exhibitions incorporate more high tech and interactive features. There are more than eighty different species of tree growing here.
