The Norwegian Aviation Museum lies on Olav V gate, not far from the airport and the city centre of Bodø. The extraordinary modern building has a total exhibition space of ten thousand square metres and resembles a giant propellor. It is one of the main attractions in the region. The two wings of the museum trace the history and development of cicil aviation and military aviation. Aircraft on display include a U-2 spy plane, a Spitfire, and a Mosquito. There are great views from the "control tower". There are flight simulators that visitors can try. You will find a cafe and shop here.
