The Nesch Museum lies in the heart of the little village of Ål. It is dedicated to the work of Rolf Nesch, a German graphic artist who emigrated to Norway in 1933 and settled in the area. The museum was opened in 1993. Its permanent exhibition contains seventy six of the artist’s works, including drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures. These were donated to the municipality by Nesch’s heirs.
