Ænes Church is located in an attractive little village on the banks of the Hardangerfjord. You will find it a short drive to the north of the regional centre of Rosendal. There has been a church on this site since the late twelfth century. The structure was substantially rebuilt in 1869. The altarpiece and pulpit both date from the eighteenth century, while one of the church’s bells goes right back to the thirteenth.
