The Navvy Trek to Rombaksbotn follows the old path used by the construction workers who made the Ofoten Railway, one of the extraordinary engineering feats of the Nordic world. It has been opened as a popular cycling and walking path, and in 1997 was voted the best outdoor experience in Norway. There are information boards along the way, as well of evidence of the activities of the original workers, or "navvies". There are many spectacular views from this pathway.
