The Natural History Collections of Bergen Museum are administered by the University of Bergen. They contain extensive collections of zoological specimens from around the world, the fruits of extensive Norwegian exploration. The layout is as it was one hundred years ago. The geological collection is modern, and contains samples from Norway and further afield. The museum is housed in an imposing nineteenth century building and has an attractive landscaped garden.
