The National Museum of Medicine is part of the of the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. The museum contains equipment, documents, photographs, pictures and books that help visitors to understand the development of modern medicine over the course of the past 150 years. One section explores the various wierd and wonderful early treatments given for cholera. There are both permanent exhibitions and temporary themed exhibitions. The museum has a shop and cafe.
