Mosvatnet Lake lies in the heart of Stavanger, yet is a haven for nature lovers. There is a path around the circumference of the lake which is three kilometres long. The area supports a wide range of bird life. Well over a hundred species of birds have been recorded here, of which more than fifty are known to nest. The lake is adjacent to the city centre woodland area of Vålandsskogen.
