Moster Old Church lies in Mosterhamn, in the municipality of Bømlo. The church is believed to be the oldest village church in Norway. It is a simple structure with a square choir and rectangular nave. There is no tower. According to the medieval Icelandic saga of Snorre, Olav Trygvason docked here and founded a church, before becoming King of Norway. IN 1024, Saint Olav and the Norwegian bishops held court here. The church was purchased by the Society for acient monuments in 1874. Guided tours of the church are included in visits to Moster Amfi.
